Andreas Wiig With Another Cover Shot

10/28/10

Boo yaa. You know you're big time when you get the cover of a freakin' phone book! After back-to-back Winter X Games Gold Medals, an impressive array of video parts with legendary film crews like Mack Dawg Productions and widely published photos in snowboard magazines around the world, Andreas finally nabbed the cover of the coveted Summit County Phone Book. Yes, it's an accomplishment of a lifetime for the Norwegian powerhouse, and word is that he couldn't be more proud.

"I never thought I'd end up on the cover [of a phone book]," says Andreas. "Next time you are ordering a pizza in Breck you can thank me for the digits!"

Big ups to Andreas and Keystone Mountain (his home away from home), and look for the cover boy getting his early season shredding on in Summit County very soon.

Andreas Wiig Flips Through Colorado

10/23/10

Andreas Wiig and the Forum Team hit Colorado last week as part of their North American "F'IT" Tour, and Andreas showed up a few days early to get some pre season training at Woodward at Copper. He spent a couple days in the giant play land practicing double backflips on their multiple trampoline set ups, and got to bro down with a few lucky visitors. On Thursday, the rest of the team showed up and it was movie/party time once again down in Denver. Stevie Bell, Cameron Pierce and Pat Moore reunited with Andreas after their crazy Europe leg to celebrate the film and connect with the fans. They signed autographs, threw out tons of free product and hit the double afterparty at Shag/La Boheme. Everyone had a great time and of course, the movie was banger! 5 Reasons To Snowboard, Not Ski

10/11/10

Eric Willett. Photo: Chris Wellhausen.

As winter quickly approaches, Brad Farmer from Fuel TV put up a funny blog about why snowboarding is better than skiing, and we couldn't agree more. It starts off with a little something like this:

"Snowboarding has been better than skiing since it was invented and nothing has changed with that in the last, roughly, 30 years. Skiers and snowboarders get along these days, share the slopes and even ride together, but snowboarding is still a superior sport. It's mellow that you followed us into the world of freestyle riding and we're happy to share our terrain parks and half pipes with you. We even let you hit our jibs. We don't mind that skiers rode our coattails into the X Games and now even the Olympics (I'm talking freestyle skiing here.) We're totally down with you guys and gals even if you are two-plankers. Nevertheless, snowboarding will always be on top and if you don't believe us...here are five indisputable reasons why."
